About Us

Located in the Heart of Utah Valley, Utah Trikes caters to those who understand the need for a healthy lifestyle and who love giving back to the environment by ergonomic gas-free travel. With our main storefront located on Historic Main Street in Payson, we offer an alternative, naturalistic, and budget friendly mode of transportation both locally and nationally.

Utah Trikes was the first company in Utah to realize the vision of a recumbent trike shop in a true retail environment. While other cycling enthusiasts told us that a trike-only shop could never work, we are glad to have proven them wrong. We are a true Custom Trike Shop and are proud to offer and stock more trikes than anyone else. We specialize in building custom recumbent trikes tailor-made to suit your needs. We have full designing and machining capabilities and are gearing experts.

Closer to a go kart than a bike, the recumbent tadpole trike is the “sports car” of pedal powered vehicles. Putting in a collective average of 100 miles each day, we enjoyed the benefits of a more active lifestyle and knew that many people would agree with us. This is why we opened up our shop both locally and on the internet. Eating a healthy diet and getting lots of exercise has proven through the years to increase a person’s well-being and longevity. We provide a clean, easy and cost effective transportation alternative to the pollutant, gas-guzzling expensive vehicles out there. Save the environment by riding a Trike and in return it will save you money and your health. Check out all the different trike models, and come in for a test ride!

Ashley Guy, the president of Utah Trikes, has been into riding and building cycles as long as he can remember. He built his first tandem when he was 10 years old using his dad's stick welder and a couple of bikes from the dump. He got his first quadricycle in 2004 and immediately started looking for something more efficient. When Ashley discovered his first TerraTrike his life changed forever. He quickly turned his love of trikes into a full-time business and now runs the nation's leading trike shop. Ashley spends a lot of time personally answering customer emails and phone calls.

Bryce Creer, trained in wheel building, background in metal work, and powder coating. Bryce is mostly on the phones but from time to time you may see him in the custom shop welding, building a trike, or even helping with trike designs.

Matt Timm or as some know him Mac 10. Stars in most of our videos. Matt is also our head mechanic, teaches our Park Training School, rides a 700, was born on a bike, and has a need for speed. You will find Matt just about any where in the shop. From the welding benches to the phones.

Cody Fowlke is a behind-the-scenes type of guy. You'll rarely talk with him on the phone, but you might see him in the shop if he comes out of the machining room. He is a perfectionist that always wants to make sure everything is done correctly. Cody is our certified welder and builds many of our custom frames and quad rear ends. When not wearing a welding mask, Cody focuses his attention to detail building trikes for the showroom. Cody is an area native and has been with Utah Trikes since 2008.

Samuel Capel manages our websites and marketing departments. He spends most of his time at his work station in the front of the shop helping with live help, walk in customers, phones, videos, and more. In his off time he spends time playing games, finding other work to do, and going to school.

Luke Green is a certified welder, builds trikes, and has a part in most all projects. You will see Luke in the build shop most of the time building stock trikes. You may also see him out at the dunes on his bike.
